The first days of 2022 have brought a commemorative publication about the history of meter stamps on the territory of Czechoslovakia. The D-day was on 16.th September, 1926. On that day two meter stamp machines were officially put into postal process at their user´s offices in the centre of Prague. The use of meter stamps franking correspondance started....Shortly it will be one hundred years fro the day of the first use of the modern means of franking in Czechoslovakia and all the other countries on its territory. The majority of published entires is from the collection of the author Ivan Leiš.
Every letter, every postcard has got a story. The philatelic entires are a part of the published chronicle. Let´s remember all the years when meter stamps were franking majority of all that mail.
The title is: "Stoletá historie výplatních otisků z území Ćeskoslovenska" (One-hundred-year old history of meter stamps from the territory of Czechoslovakia).
The book about the beginnings of meter stamp collection in Czechoslovakia named "Žralok a frankotyp " (A Shark and a Francotype") and the book baout the history of meter stamp collecting in Czechoslovakia named "Frankotypisté"( "Francotypists").
The trilogy is complete.
